Sunday Trailways volunteer positions:

TRAILHERO
One of the most important volunteer positions of this day! Trailheros encourage participants to safely cross wooden bridges along the trail and cross with the light where the trail meets the road. Expect to receive smiles and thanks while you wave and cheer on participants. Trailheros are encouraged to show off their creative side - wear your favorite silly hat or show off a hidden talent!
(Minimum age: 18, or 16 if volunteering with adult)
Shifts are 10:30 am-1pm and 12:30-3 pm

MOBILE TRAILHERO
A perfect fit for those with a love of pedaling and people! Trailheros monitor a section of the course by bike; provide support for other volunteer positions, report back to volunteer coordinator and help out participants.
(Minimum age: 18, or 16 if volunteering with adult)
Shifts are 10:30am-1pm and 12:30-3pm

REC MOBILE
One of the most fun positions of the day! Volunteers help THPRD staff engage kids in games, activities and sports. High energy and enthusiastic volunteers will enjoy this activity.
(Minimum age: 16 or 14 if volunteering with an adult)
Shifts are 10:30am-1pm 12:30-3pm

BIKE CORRAL ATTENDANTS
Your help at the bike corral will allow participants to join the activities at stations along the trail and keep the trail clear for walkers and bikers. Plan to volunteer with a friend. Volunteers are welcome to sit - bring along a folding chair.
(Minimum age: 16, or 14 if volunteering with an adult)
Shifts are 10:30am-1pm and 12:30-3pm

SET UP AND CLEAN UP
Help staff set up or take down pop up canopies, tables and chairs at one of several activity sites. Also put up and take down signs and banners on site. Volunteers may lift up to 30 pounds, must be comfortable walking on uneven field surfaces and be able to bend and stretch. This is a perfect position for those who enjoy being behind the scenes and working with a team.
(Minimum age: 16, or 14 if volunteering with an adult)
Shifts are 8-10:30am / 3-5 pm

SURVEY ATTENDANTS
Enjoy talking to people and finding out what they have to say? Then please join us as a survey attendant asking Sunday Trailways walkers and bikers to fill out a brief survey of the event. Help staff at the information table and walk through activities asking for participants.
(Minimum age: 16)
Shifts are 10:30 am-1pm and 12:30-3pm
