Parks, Recreation and Nature. In our neighborhoods. Close to home.
Parks. Recreational opportunities. Natural areas and open space. These are a part of what creates our quality of life.
In our community, these services are provided by the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD). THPRD serves more than 200,000 people within the City of Beaverton and many fast-growing areas of unincorporated Washington County.
THPRD's last bond measure was in 1994. The growth of our community has increased the pressure on District services, and many facilities are aging and in need of repairs and upgrades. That is why the THPRD Board, in consultation with the community, has placed Measure 34-156 on the November 4, 2008 ballot. Explore this site to learn more about the THPRD bond and what it would provide to our community.
