Project Summary & Public Benefits
This project includes the development of an existing, unimproved neighborhood park. Improvements include new play equipment, picnic areas, pathways, drinking fountains, benches and open grass areas.
Restoration and habitat enhancement will also be incorporated into Hansen Ridge Park (formerly Kaiser Ridge). Please see the Hansen Ridge Park -- Habitat Enhancement bond project web page for more detailed information.
Update
In September 2011, the Preferred Master Plan was approved by the THPRD's Board of Directors. At the same meeting, the Board also approved a name change for the park. Drawing on the historical roots of the neighborhood and the Hansen Family, who farmed the land from the late 19th century through mid-20th century, the park’s name was changed from Kaiser Ridge to Hansen Ridge.
Since October 2011, staff has worked with the design consultant to refine the approved master plan. In January 2012, a land use package was submitted to Washington County for review and approval as well as to Clean Water Services for its review and consideration.
