Project Summary & Public Benefits
This project calls for redeveloping this existing community park near downtown Beaverton. The 2008 bond has allowed THPRD to draw a master plan for the 10-acre Schiffler Park for the first time ever.
The master plan includes many new and updated additions such as play equipment with natural surfaces and textures, two picnic areas, pathways, gardens, athletic areas, a basketball court, a skate spot and a pavilion.
The new pavilion fulfills a recent Land and Water Conservation Fund grant award.
Because the park also envelops a wetland, habitat restoration will occur, as will construction of wetland overlook areas.
Update
Schiffler Park is now open! Contractors will be on-site occasionally for finishing touches throughout the early spring.
