Project Summary & Public Benefits
THPRD's Natural Resources Department will remove weeds and invasive plants and replant the area with native plants and/or shrubs. Natural resouces managers will then assess the stream and wetland for further enhancement and stabilization.
Wetlands protect water quality and keep nearby land from flooding by acting as a natural sponge, slowly absorbing and releasing water from the surrounding environment. In addition, wetland plants filter water, removing pollutants and toxins from the waters that pass through.
Project Budget
$41,100
