John has served on the THPRD Board since 1999, helping to lead the District through a period of tremendous growth and development.
John retired from Intel Corporation in 2016, concluding a 32-year career that included positions in finance, logistics, corporate business development, and Intel Capital. His background also includes working at LAX and Hollywood Burbank Airport for two different airlines and in fire & rescue for the National Park Service at Crater Lake National Park (Oregon) and Mesa Verde National Park (Colorado).
Besides his present service with THPRD, John currently serves on Metro's Policy Advisory Committee ("MPAC"), on the advisory committee supporting the Salvation Army's youth center and food bank in Hillsboro, and on the board of directors for a medical device company.
John received his bachelor's degree in history from UCSB and his MBA in management from UCLA.
John is married to Patricia and together they have one son and make their home in Beaverton. John enjoys reading, hiking, and playing guitar in his church's band.
