Cedar Hills will host its annual Fitness Challenge - it begins on New Year's Day. The event includes free classes, double mile days, and the opportunity to win prizes ... including the big the grand prize.
The Cedar Hills Fitness Challenge is a fitness contest that rewards you for getting off the couch, getting fit and having fun! It is a fun way to get fit and potentially win a free round-trip ticket to any continental U.S. destination.
Participants choose their destination and, beginning Jan. 1, start earning “fitness miles” toward that destination. A wide variety of fitness and recreational activities qualify; the amount of time you spend will determine how many miles you are awarded. For example, bowling for 30 minutes is worth 2 miles, walking for 15 minutes is worth 3 miles.
*New this year we have added to additional PRIZE challenges: Most Weight Lost and Most Inches Lost. These are voluntary so if you wish to compete in either of these additional challenges you must have yourself weighed-in/and or measured by CHRC staff/Trainer at the time you submit your registration.
The Fitness Challenge runs from Jan. 1-April 30.
All those who complete the Challenge by earning enough “fitness miles” to reach their selected destination (by April 30) will be entered into the final grand prize drawing for one free round-trip ticket. Additional prize drawings will be held.
The cost of the Challenge is $18.
Participants must be 18 years or older to be entered in the final grand-prize drawing.
Registration packets and activity logs are available at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center office the week of December 10th.
Fitness Challenge wrap up party and final Grand Parize Drawing will be Saturday, May 18th at 11:30. Come for free mini classes, refreshments and of course the prizes!
