Middle School Programs
Middle school after school program
Who can participate?
Students in grades 6-8 who attend middle schools in the Beaverton School District are eligible. You can aslo be included if you are:
- Beaverton School District middle school home school students.
- Beaverton School District middle school magnet school students.
- Students who live within THPRD boundaries and attend private school.
Steps to register:
You may register online at www.thprd.org or by calling 503/629-6340. Please refer to the class number for your middle school when registering.
Before you can be registered for any THPRD after-school program, you must be issued a resident I.D. number. To receive your I.D. number, visit any THPRD facility and complete the registration information form.
Financial Assistance
For in-district residents who face financial hardship, THPRD offers a Family Assistance Program. We encourage eligible students/parents to apply. For details, please call the THPRD administration office at 503/645-6433 and ask for the Family Assistance Program administrator.
Fall Term:
Cross Country
Join your middle school cross counrty team, get involved in your school and meet new friends. Train two days a week at your school then represent your school in meets with other middle schools. Program is held outside so dress for the weather-we go rain or shine!
Spring Term:
Track & Field
Join your middle school track team, get involved in your school and meet new friends. Program meets two days a week at your school, then represent your school in meets with other middle school teams. Program held outside so dress for the weather. We go rain or shine. Note: transportation to off-site meets are provided: however, parents may be required to pick up when there is a later than scheduled practice time.
Youth Fitness/Personal Training for ages 11-15yrs held at Cedar Hills Rec.
- Learn proper workout techniques
- Develop an understanding of workout equipment
- Learn a variety of exercises on our cardio equipment
- Build lifelong healthy habits.
- Enjoy postive relationships among peers and trainers that support fitness goals.
Training Hours: Monday & Wednesday: 3:45-5pm Starting in September. (Trainer supervised and drop-in fees apply.)
