Dance with Me
Parent and child will enjoy dancing to familiar songs in this exciting class. Children will learn coordination, body awareness and improve balance while having fun. Let your child feel comfortable in a classroom atmosphere with you by their side! Parent participation required.

Munchkin Dance
Parent and child will dance to fun songs while developing coordination, body awareness and balance. Munchkin Dance allows your child to develop comfort in a classroom setting with you by their side. Parent participation required.

Munchkin Ballet/Tap
Parent and child will dance to fun songs while learning the technique for both ballet and tap styles through creative dance moves and short routines. Parent participation required.

Preschool Classes

Sibling Creative Dance
A class where siblings can move & learn together. Develop motor skills, coordination and strength while learning basic dance steps to fun songs.

Creative Movement
Creative movement helps develop motor skills, coordination and strength while learning basic dance steps to your little one's favorite songs. Dancing with hula-hoops, streamers and more encourages imagination and creativity.

Ballet, Where Dreams Begin
Make your little one's dreams come true as they point their toes, learn ballet fundamentals, increase confidence, poise, grace and creativity while developing skill, rhythm and imagination.

Ballet
Children will learn fundamentals of ballet technique in this exciting ballet. Children will increase balance and poise while developing strength and coordination.

Jazz
Your little one will have fun while learning how to turn, kick, leap and more through jazz. Children will develop coordination, strength and balance in this dynamic jazz class.

Princess Up & Dance
Once upon a time there was you...a beautiful young girl turned into a different princess each week. Children build self-confidence and esteem while learning in this interactive class that combines dress up and the basics of dance. Costumes are provided.

Little Pom Poms
Your child will learn the basic cheerleading and dance moves set to fun music to create a fun routine just like the big girls. This class creates a fun learning environment which promotes teamwork, creativity, and spirit!

Ballet/Tap
Does your child want to learn how to tap and ballet. This class is the perfect mix of both. Children will learn the technique for both dance styles through creative dance. Children will also develop coordination, strength and balance.

Tappin' Away
Learn tap basics and exciting dance movements to fun music in an energetic class that will keep them learning, tapping and dancing away. This class is great for beginners and those who have some tap and jazz experience!

Jazz/Ballet
Children will learn the basic ballet steps, poses and coordination while developing strength and flexibility with kicks, leaps and turns. Then they'll put it together in a fun dance routine.

Ballet/Hip Hop
Opposites attract. Your child will learn basic ballet steps, poses and coordination. Then let loose and get down to a faster beat with fun and funky Hip Hop styles and music.

Tiny Tot Hip Hop
Let loose and let the free style form of Hip Hop allow children to get some energy out. Your children will learn some ofthe latest moves done by the stars!

Dance & Drama
Learn how to turn, kick, leap and more with jazz combined with the dramatization of drama. Pick characters, learn lines and put on a mini musical performance on the last day of class. Come join the action!

In this class, children will learn the fundamentals of jazz. Children will learn how to turn, kick, leap and increase balance and funk while developing strength and coordination dancing to pop music.

Ballet

Cheerleading

Dance Instructors

Valerie Cooper Dawn
Valerie has worked for THPRD for many years as a contract employee of dance, tumbling, cheerleading, and drama classes. She is the owner of Rhythm of My Heart, Fast 4Ward, and KIDDS. Rhythm of My Heart is a dance and drama company that gives opportunities for all ages to step into the performing arts world. The Fast 4 Ward performance team entertains around town at local events and parades. They are based in Beaverton, Oregon and represent a variety of ages and levels. The KIDDS Musical Production Company offers the centerstage experience -- starring in a musical, dancing, singing, character development, stage movement and more. The company also offers the backstage experience -- lighting, sound, special effects, prop design, and costumes.

Laura Ludlow
Laura has been trained under the set guidelines of the Royal Academy of Dance since 1999 to the present time at June Taylor's School of Dance. Laura has been instructing since July of 2005 at June Taylor's. She has taught a wide range of ages from two years to adult and has instructed beginning to intermediate levels of ballet and tap. She started teaching at Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center in January 2006. She plans to further her teaching education by completing a two-year program through the Royal Academy of Dance.

Leslie Winfield
A Colorado native, Leslie began dancing when she was seven.In high school, she was bitten by the theatre bug and began acting in plays and musicals.She earned a BFA in musical theatre from Stephens College, Missouri.Since then, Leslie has performed on stage in Iowa, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and even Ireland!Her teaching career began while in high school at Miller's Dance Studio, Colorado, and now continues at Conestoga.Her specialties include ballet, tap, jazz, modern, acting, singing, theatrical makeup and creative movement.

Jessica Harclerode
Jessica has always had a love for the arts! Jessica has taken many different styles of dance while growing up. It was in college while working on earning a theatre degree that Jessica started taking ballet and was introduced to the idea of learning to teach dance. She has taught dance since 2001 mainly with the ages of 3-6 years in the styles of ballet, jazz, tap, and creative movement. Jessica's goal is to teach kids proper dance techniques and vocabulary while adding fun and creative aspects. No matter how old we are, It's all about dressing up and twirling around in front of the mirror.
