SUPPORT GROUPS

The support groups at the Elsie Stuhr Center meet monthly for educational and social programs.  For more information on these programs, please call the Stuhr Center at 503/629-6342.

ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP
Spouses, caregivers, family and friends of persons suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia meet monthly to share resources, experiences, ideas, and educational information. Members provide support to each other and guest speakers are featured periodically. For more information, visit the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org

3rd Thursday, 2:30-4 p.m.
4th Tuesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS
Parents who have experienced the death of one or more of their children meet monthly to give and receive support and help through sharing. For more information, please visit their web site at www.compassionatefriends.org

6:30-8:45 p.m. 

DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP
Time for individual sharing, support and encouragement. Guest speakers are featured frequently. For more info, check out the American Diabetes Association's web site at  www.diabetes.org

 1-3 p.m. 

FIBROMYALGIA AND CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME SUPPORT GROUP
Family, friends and persons suffering from Fibromyalgia and/or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome meet monthly to share resources, experiences, ideas, and educational information. 

3rd Tuesday,
6:15-8:30 p.m.

PARKINSON'S SUPPORT GROUP
An educational program as well as sharing is offered monthly at support group meetings for Parkinsonians, their families and caregivers. For more information, please visit the Parkinson's Resources of Oregon at www.parkinsonsresources.org

4th Thursday, 1-3 p.m.


POST POLIO SUPPORT GROUP

Individuals challenged by fatigue, weakness, pain and the late effects of Post-Polio Syndrome meet monthly to offer support to each other and share resource information and referral tips.
