Children’s Princess Tea
Date: March 13, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Join us for our "Little Princess" Tea Party for children ages 4-7. Adorn your little princess in their best tea fineries for a special memory tea party. A Victorian-style Tea will be served to include tea sandwiches, scones, desserts and assorted teas. There will be crafts and a few surprises!
Cost: $27.50 for one parent and one child (additional adult $7.50; additional child $20). Reservations required. Call 503/629-6355.
Rhododendron Show & Sale
Date: April 24
Entries accepted for judging 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Open to the public noon - 4 p.m.
Plant sale: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The historic stable will be filled with rhododendron and azalea trusses for this judged show. The public is invited to participate in the event or to visit this spectacular display. The Rhododendron Garden is 1.6 acres and filled with more than 800 varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas. Free admission.
Barefoot Quilt Festival Mother’s Day Weekend

Barefoot Quilt Show: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Celebrate Mother’s Day by attending the Jenkins Estate Barefoot Quilt Festival at the historic Jenkins Estate. All aspects of quilting will be incorporated into the Mother’s Day event. Included will be displays, demonstrations and quilt-related items for purchase.

Saturday: A Tea To Remember, 12:30 p.m. $30/person; reservations required.
Sunday: Dessert Café, 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (no reservations needed)
Both days: Artisan Craft Fair, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Plant sale: Saturday and Sunday (May 8-9), 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sponsored by the Jenkins Estate Advisory Committee, this plant sale features colorful blooms for your yard and garden. Find the perfect gift for Mom.
Garden Tea at the Gate House
Date: Saturday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, April 10. Call for additional dates (generally held once a month).
Time: 12:30 p.m. Cost: $25 per person
The Gate House hosts our Victorian-style Teas served with a delicious assortment of tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and decadent sweets on your own three-tiered tray and accompanied by a selection of fine teas. Above is our signature Lavender Scone.
This event is for those ages 7 and older. (A special menu could be provided for those younger than 12 years of age.) Reservations required. Walk-in seating is not available. Single seating reservations welcome.
Private Teas are scheduled on a date-by-date basis.
