The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District welcomes you to this tranquil setting, tucked in a wooded niche crowning Cooper Mountain. Come enjoy the view of the Tualatin Valley and the surrounding mountains. A revitalized country estate on 68 acres, the Jenkins Estate features a large lodge-style home dating from 1913 and refurbished stables suitable for corporate meetings and other social events. It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Gardens

A large and developing rhododendron garden is the first garden through the iron gates at the entrance. Perennial boarders, wildflower meadows and water features highlight other areas on the grounds.

Tours/Appointments

Self-guided tours of the gardens are welcome when the gates are open. Admission is free, but buildings are not necessarily open daily.

Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Grounds hours: vary after 4 p.m. and on weekends

Rental Privileges

  • The choice of one building for reception.
  • Tables, chairs and linens inside the building, patio, veranda and/or canopy areas (tables and chairs are not provided for grassy or gravel areas on property).
  • Set-up of custom layout.
  • Take-down of tables and chairs, standard cleaning and garbage removal (clients are responsible for the removal of all personal items).

Rental Fees

Weekend rates: Friday, Saturday or Sunday
6-hour minimum: block times are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or 6 p.m.-midnight

Reception site only: $2,260 per time block
Outdoor ceremony: $220 additional
All-day rental $4,740 (includes outdoor ceremony location)

Damage deposit: $200 additional
(refundable if not damage or additional fees are incurred with the event)

Weekday rates: Monday through Wednesday
10 a.m.-4 p.m. (six-hour minimum) $1,130 ($188.30/hr)
6 p.m.-midnight (six-hour minimum) $1,130 ($188.30/hr)
Outdoor ceremony included $220 additional

Gate House

Events for up to 25 guests; bookings by special arrangement
Bridal dressing area (option with rental of the facility, within selected time block): $220
Rehearsal dinner (must select a contracted caterer to serve food): $250
Bridal or baby shower (includes two hours and beverage service for cake-only event): $300

Preferred Caterers

The Jenkins Estate has a preferred catering list. Each caterer has extensive experience with the Jenkins Estate to provide a memorable meal. No outside caterers or self-catering are allowed.

Discount Months

The Jenkins Estate offers a 25 percent discount on rental rates for weekends in November, January and February.

Event Checklist

Call to schedule an appointment to tour the buildings, hosted by Jenkins Estate staff, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. or Thursday evenings.

  • Hold a preferred date on the calendar. Dates are held for two weeks without obligation.
  • 50 percent of the rental fee secures the date. If you do not wish to confirm the date, please call the office and cancel.
  • Refunds will be granted with 90 days notice prior to the event. There is a $4 processing fee for all refunds.
  • Wedding rehearsal times are scheduled on the Thursday prior to the event date.

60 days prior to your event

Schedule an appointment to do the following:

  • Pay the balance of your rental fee.
  • Pay the $200 damage deposit.
  • Submit your "Responsible Party" document.
  • Submit your layout plan.
  • Submit Special Use Permit Form. The Park District requires Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) licensed servers.
  • Provide insurance information. Proof of insurance must be on file by the clients or the caterer.
  • Inform the office of the names and phone numbers of your service providers (caterer, florist, etc.).
  • Inform all of your service providers of your rental time. Make sure that they know they will not have access to the Jenkins Estate before the scheduled rental time begins and must be packed up before the scheduled rental time ends. The renter will be charged for any extra time used.
