Scout Projects Available!
The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District supports Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs through numerous project opportunities, including Eagle Scout and Gold Award projects, as well as stewardship projects for groups of Scouts.

Eagle Scout/Gold Award Projects
Weed mapping at Jenkins Estate and other district parks (for example: clematis, holly, and ivy).
Pervious paver installation at trail intersections in
Greenway Park.
Restoration projects - Invasive plant removal accompanied by planting natives throughout the Park District.
Installation of stepped path at Foothills Park.
Build staircase and install bicycle barriers at Waterhouse Powerline Park.
Fence removal at Bannister Creek Trail.
Fence removal along Rock Creek Powerline Corridor.
Fence removal at Mt. Williams Park.

Scouting Group Projects
Native plant salvage - Digging up native plants for relocation to restoration sites.
Restoration projects - Invasive plant removal and native plantings throughout the district.
Trail maintenance - Adding wood chips or gravel at selected parks throughout the district .
