No credit will be applied if it is requested less than two business days in advance. Any and all expenses that have been incurred by the Stuhr Center/THPRD (admissions, transportation, etc.) are not refundable if a trip is canceled by the participant.

Lunch at the Columbia Gorge Hotel

NW Discoveries, Mt. Hood Lakes Tour
We will visit four beautiful lakes (Timothy Lake, Little Crater Lake, Clear Lake and Trillium Lake) on the shoulders of Mount Hood. Short walks at each lake will be available. Total of all walks are under four miles with minimal elevation gain. Bring sack lunch.

NW Discoveries, Touring kayak beginning lesson
Learn how to use touring kayaks. The first half will include discussion on kayak equipment, steering strokes, paddling in a straight line, bracing and rescues. The second half will be a tour on a local waterway in which we wil have the chance to become proficient in our skills. We use very stable solo and tandem kayaks that have big cockpits. This class is a great introduction for beginners to the sport of kayak touring and sea kayaking. Lincoln City Culinary School & Barking Dog Farm
We will head down to the Culinary School in Lincoln City to enjoy a cooking demonstartion plus teh pleasure of eating it afterwards. Join the fun filled day with a tour of Lincoln City, lunch at the culinary school, then a visit to Barking Dog Farm on the way back home. Barking Dog is an organic farm where we will be able to hear "what that means", plus purchase some items to take with us. HOLIDAY AT THE WALDORF, December 6-10, 2010
"Start spreading the news" because this trip will include a five day adventure to New York City. We will arrive in America's most exciting metropolis, New York City, for a getaway that's filled with shopping, sighseeing, endless entertainment and holiday cheer. After we settle into the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, we will have time to snoop around this famous landmark before saying good night. This trip includes a tour of the Big Apple, including Greenwich Village, the Wall Street district, Little Italy, Chinatown, the Empire State Building, United Nations, the Chrystler Building and other time-honored landmarks (with a visit to Ground Zero). Also included is a visit to Radio City Music Hall to watch the high-kicking Rockettes. We will voyage to Ellis Island and see the Statue of Liberty, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square, a Broadway Show plus two diners, one lunch and a breakfast.
