For most openings, we receive a large number of applications and the selection process is highly competitive. Because we are able to interview or test only a limited number of applicants, it is very important that you complete the application for employment materials properly.
Qualified applicants whose application materials are thorough and organized are most likely to make it to the next step in the selection process.
If your application materials are incomplete, illegible or improperly completed, it may be rejected even if you are qualified for the position for which you are applying.

How to Apply:
Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District accepts applications only for jobs that are currently vacant and posted. Applications, resumes or interest cards are not kept on file in anticipation of an opening.
Applicants must complete and submit a District application form on or before the closing date, as outlined on the job description. Due to the uniqueness of each position, a separate application form must be completed for each job opening.
Resumes, cover letters or other documentation may be submitted with the application; however, resumes are not accepted in place of completed application forms.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Application materials are available Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. in the reception area of the Administration Office.

Application Materials Will Not Be Faxed
Submitting Completed Application Forms:
Completed application forms must be received by the Human Resources Department, 15707 SW Walker Rd., Beaverton OR 97006, no later than the posted closing date and time.
- Applications may be dropped off in person, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
- Mailed directly to the Human Resources Department Faxed to: 503-214-8326, or
- E-mailed as an attachment to jobs@thprd.com.
Due to the large volume of applications received, we regret we are unable to confirm receipt of mailed and faxed application forms.
Selection & Notification Process:
Correctly and completely filling out the application form and returning it by the posted closing date and time assures consideration of your application.
Applications are reviewed and competitively evaluated according to the requirements listed on the job description. Because of the large number of applications generally received, this process typically takes 2-3 weeks after the application deadline.
Only those applicants who demonstrate the most closely related work experience, education and training will receive further consideration for employment. Candidates who best meet the requirements of the position are telephoned and invited to participate in the selection process.
Those not selected for further consideration will be notified by mail and placed on inactive status. All applicants will be formally notified of the final status of their application.
Due to the large volume of applications received, we regret phone calls inquiring into the status of an application cannot be returned.
Drug Free Workplace/Background Checks:
The District is a drug free workplace and is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. A pre-employment drug screening test may be required. Job related background and reference checks will be conducted prior to employment being offered.
