Birthday Packages
Combine a one-hour nature program with a party room full of your friends and you’ve got the makings of a great birthday party for up to 12 children. We provide kid-sized tables and chairs, additional seating for adults, and memorable nature experiences. You bring the cake, drinks, and paper goods. The private room is yours for 2½ hours, including your decorating, clean-up, and program time.
Program Choices
Stories in the Forest
The forest has been a source of wonder to people for generations. Join us on a journey of discovery and hear some tales about the plants and animals that live in the forest.
Months available: Year-round
Ages: 3-6 years
Bug Safari
Head out on a trek to look for some of the smallest residents on the planet. Using magnifiers and nets, head out into the park in search of spiders, slugs, centipedes, beetles, and other spineless creatures .
Months available: April through October
Ages: 5-12 years
Wild Habitats
Explore the forests and wetlands of the park with a guide. Through fun activities and inquiry, discover which animals live in which habitat and what they need to survive.
Months available: Year-round
Ages: 6-12 years
Amazing Mammals
Our senses will come in handy during hands-on activities and games to learn about mammals. Discover what makes native mammals unique, including the interactions between predators (such as coyotes) and their prey. If the weather is fair, we will go on a short walk into the park.

Ages: 6-10 years
Flying Feathered Friends
Birds are unique in many ways. Find out what makes a bird a bird and learn about what birds eat. A handmade craft to take home will have everyone looking for birds in their own backyards. If it's not raining we will go outside to look and listen for the birds in the park.

Locations
Tualatin Hills Nature Park
Located at the entrance to the Tualatin Hills Nature Park, in the Nature Park Interpretive Center has two rooms to choose from for your party. The Robin's Nest is an intimate room with sinks, plenty of counter space, and windows looking out into an aspen grove. The Beaver Den is a larger room with a full kitchen that can accommodate a larger party of children and parents.
Cooper Mountain Nature Park
The Nature House is located at the entrance to the Cooper Mountain Nature Park. The Nature House's one room has a sink, microwave, and counter space in addition to spectacular views of the the park's praries and the Tualatin Valley.
Neighborhood Parks
If you are not in need of a room and are interested in getting your child and guests outside, the Nature Mobile will transport our staff naturalists and program materials to your neighborhood park to provide any of these programs. Please call or email to find out which parks are near your home.
Pricing
The package fees include the guided program, use of the room for 2½ hours, and a set of birthday invitations. Click here for a complete fee list. In addition to the package fee, a refundable security deposit of $100 is due at the time of reservation. Prices valid through December 15, 2012.
Scheduling
Parties are scheduled up to one year in advance. However our parties do tend to book quickly. We would advise you to give us as much prior notice as possible. Our staff is happy to check availability, answer questions, and schedule your birthday party. Please call or email at least two weeks prior to your preferred date.
