Newt Day is a community event for the whole family that provides educational and interactive opportunities to learn about the changes that occur in nature during autumn, provide motivation to explore nature during a season when most stay inside, and discover the wonders of fall in the outdoors.
Date: November 2, 2013
Time: Noon - 4 p.m.
Location: Tualatin Hills Nature Park, 15655 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton, OR 97006
Do you love wet, fall weather? Do you want to get your family out exploring the out-of-doors in the "off" season? Have you always wanted to know about local wildlife of all sizes? Join the newts on the trails and around the Interpretive Center as we delve into the wonders of autumn and all the exciting natural discoveries that it brings to park visitors.
This is a family-friendly event that provides activities designed to inspire exploration of nature during the season when it is tempting to stay inside. Come dressed for the weather so that you will be comfortable participating in the outdoor activities.
