Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District

Weekend Projects

We welcome volunteers of all ages. However, for those under 14 years, one adult should accompany every five volunteers. New events will be added periodically, so please check back for updated information. If you have questions or would like to register for an event, please contact Melissa Marcum, Natural Resources volunteer coordinator, at 503/629-6305 Ext. 2953 or e-mail at mmarcum@thprd.org.

We hope you will join the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District as we work to protect and restore natural areas in our community. Below is a list of environmental work parties and events where we need volunteer help. In addition to working with individuals, we enjoy partnering with schools, colleges, local community residents and businesses to set up an event. We are delighted to set up a special work party for a group of 10 or more.

Important Notice

For each of the projects listed below, we ask volunteers to bring tools specific to the tasks of the day. We also ask that volunteers bring reusable drinking water bottles to our projects. We hope that volunteers will take this simple step to assist us in our efforts to reduce waste at the end of our projects and at the end of the day. Volunteers should also wear long sleeves, long pants, old tennis shoes or hiking boots and raingear, if necessary. On sunny days, sunscreen and hats are also recommended.
