Metro seeks community input for Westside Trail
04/19/2012
Metro is working with residents, cities, counties and community organizations - including THPRD - to create a continuous bicycle and pedestrian link from the Willamette River and Portland's Forest Park through Beaverton and across the Tualatin River near Tigard and King City.
This proposal to expand the Westside Trail would result in a 23-mile trail through some of the most densely populated and fastest growing parts of the region. The trail will make exciting connections to natural areas and wildlife corridors, including the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, Tualatin Hills Nature Park and the Willamette River Greenway.
Eventually, the trail will connect with portions already completed by THPRD and other regional trail caretakers, including the Rock Creek Trail and the future Tonquin Trail.
Help us make important decisions about where the trail will unfold by attending one of these open houses:
Wednesday, May 30
6-8 p.m.
Stoller Middle School
14141 NW Laidlaw Road, Portland
Thursday, May 31

Deer Creek Elementary School
16155 SW 131st Ave., Tigard
