THPRD reappoints one, adds new member to budget committee
January 31, 2014
Two citizens have been selected for three-year terms on the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District Budget Committee.
Greg Cody, who lives in the Hyland Hills neighborhood, was reappointed to the committee and Susan Cole of Aloha was named to the seat formerly held by Julia Kegg. The THPRD Board of Directors made the appointments at their regular monthly meeting on Jan. 13.
Cody, a credit manager and 33-year district resident, has served on the committee since 2008. Cole is a finance supervisor and has worked with budgets for 20 years.
The Budget Committee generally meets three times a year and is responsible for providing public oversight of budget preparations, recommending changes to the proposed budget, and informing the public about district business and operations.
The 10-member committee includes all five THPRD board members and five citizen members. Each citizen member must live within Park District boundaries.
