  Planning & Development - John Quincy Adams Young (JQAY) House


In early 2006, The Tualatin Hills Pard and Recreation Districts' Board of Directors approved a historical property managermnet plan developed by the John Quincy Adamas Young House Ad Hoc Advisory Committee. The District's Planning and Development staff is currently working with a team of consultants to refine the approved management plan into a master plan for the house and site which includes opportunities for restoration and interpretation. The THPRD Board of Director's approved the JQA Young House and Site Master Plan at their October 2007 regular board meeting and Tualatin Hills Park Foundation staff is currently working to raise funds for implementation of the recommendations made by the Master Plan. The planning and development staff is also working with Peter Meijer, Historic Architect on nominating the house to the National Historic Register.
