MEET THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT STAFF: 
Steve Gulgren, Superintendent of Planning and Development
B.S. Forestry, University of Montana, 1983, with a minor in Geology; B.S. Landscape Architecture, University of Wisconsin - Madison, 1989. Steve spent 11½ years as the planning and development manager for a county wide Conservation District in Illinois. Steve also worked as a private consultant and at a private landscape architecture/ urban planning firm.  He is a Registered Landscape Architect with the State of Illinois and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)

Gery Keck, Senior Park Planner
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, University of Idaho, 1996, with minors in Architecture and Art.  Gery has seven years of experience as a private consultant and has worked on projects all over the Pacific Northwest.  Prior to joining the Park District, he worked in the private sector for a local landscape architecture firm and a local multi-disciplinary firm.  Gery is a Licensed Landscape Architect in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Wendy Bell, Park Planner
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia in 1999.  Wendy has held landscape designer positions with private Landscape Architecture firms in Charleston, South Carolina and  Portland, Oregon.  Wendy brings to the Park District a wide variety of past project experience including interpretive centers, public parks and trails, waterfronts, urban design, residential design and historic renovation. In addition, she is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and currently holds the position of Secretary for the Oregon Chapter of ASLA.

Brad Hauschild, Park Planner 
Masters of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP), Eastern Washington University, 2002; Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA), Kansas State University, 1996.  Brad has experience in both the public and private sector as a landscape designer and long-range land-use planner working on a variety of projects in both the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest.  Prior to joining the Park District, Brad worked  in the private sector with a position at an architecture and planning firm in Portland, Oregon.  He is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

Rene' Brucker, Park Planner
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Washington State University, 1984, minor in Geology. Rene' has eight years of experience with a wide range of projects in both the private and public sectors throughout Washington and Oregon. Her most recent experience as a Landscape Architect has been with a local disciplinary firm and just prior to joining the Park District, as a private consultant. She is in the process of becoming a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

Jazzmin Reece, Office Tech
Bachelor of Politics from Willamette University, 2004. Jazzmin has four years of experience as a business and property manager for a private real estate development company in the Willamette Valley. Before joining the Park District, Jazzmin was the administrative assistant to the director and deputy directors of Planning at Metro in Portland, Oregon.
