Six of the seven candidates for three open positions on the THPRD Board of Directors participated in a public forum on April 29 at the Elsie Stuhr Center.

Each participant gave a five-minute presentation summarizing why they are running and the priorities they would pursue if elected. They also answered a variety of questions from the audience and community.

Those in attendance were Jerry Jones (seeking Position 1), Larry Pelatt and Felicita Monteblanco (Position 2), and Holly Thompson, Lori Waldo and Nathan Dahlin (Position 3). Jones and Pelatt are incumbents. The seventh candidate, Stephanie Thompson, who filed for Position 1, did not attend.

The Washington County Elections Office has mailed ballots to eligible voters. The deadline for return of the ballots is 8 pm on May 16. Winners begin their term July 1.
