Jump Start & Kids First Preschool at Cedar Hills Recreation Center

Jump Start & Kids First are preschool programs based around the Reggio Emilia philosophy which uses creative play and social learning to prepare children for kindergarten. Your child will be placed in a group of children for the nine-month preschool program from September through May. The preschool programs will run at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center located at 11640 SW Park Way in Portland, Oregon.

-Tuition is paid on a monthly basis and is due by the 15th of the month prior (example: November tuition is due by October 15th). If payment is received after the 15th, a late fee of $30 will be charged.

-All children MUST be able to use the restroom independently before entering preschool. Pull-ups are not allowed.

-Children must be the correct age by September 1st.

2024-25 Preschool open house will be held February 7, 2024 5:30pm.

Preschool open house will be held virtually, more information will be provided by the end of January. Open registration will start February 15th, 2024. Cedar Hills Recreation Center is planning to run the following preschool programs for next year.

Jump Start (Ages 4 to 5)
• Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
• Time: 8:30am – 11:30am

Jump Start (Ages 3½ to 4½)
• Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Time: 9:00am - 11:30am

Kids First (Ages 4 to 5)
• Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
• Time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

2023-24 Preschool Classes at Cedar Hills Recreation Center

*Open enrollment started on Saturday, February 25 with spring registration. Register online using the code listed below or call Cedar Hills Recreation Center for registration assistance. There is a $50 non-refundable enrollment fee due at time of registration.

2023 Virtual Preschool Open House (Held February 15, 2023)

We recently held a virtual open house for our upcoming nine-month preschool programs in the 2023-2024 school year. During the event, we provided an overview of the preschool programs and gave attendees an opportunity to ask any questions they may have had about the upcoming academic year.
