Barsotti Park opened to the public in January, 2014. The new neighborhood park has the district's first youth tennis court, designed for players age 10 and under. Other features include a multipurpose field that can accommodate baseball or softball as well as organized youth soccer and lacrosse activities.
The park’s most distinctive element is a viewing area behind the backstop featuring four large mounds. A hard-surface trail around the park’s perimeter weaves through these unique landforms to other amenities, including a covered picnic area, a 20-plot community garden (with four ADA-accessible plots), and a play area built on a resilient rubber surface. The play area includes separate sections for younger and older children.
Land for the park was purchased from the Barsotti family with funds from the 1994 bond measure. With the purchase, Park District can ensure the Barsotti family's desire to maintain the land as a gathering place for families for years to come.
Barsotti Park is located at 16610 SW Blanton St. in Aloha.
