THPRD is planning exciting winter break camps to keep kids engaged, learning, and having fun during the bustling holiday season. The types of camps usually offered are outlined below, and information regarding the camps scheduled for the winter of 2023 will be updated during the summer.

Comedy Acting Camp (ages 6 - 10) Monday - Friday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
In this camp, Comedy Acting is used as the main tool to make children laugh, relax and explore their inner performers while also providing opportunities to work on their leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills.
Jr. Lifeguarding (ages 12 - 15) Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Junior Lifeguard Camp focuses on developing swimming skills to help participants meet the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course prerequisite and improve stroke technique. The camp introduces participants to lifesaving skills, including in-water rescues, rescue tube use, and first aid, CPR, and AED skills (no certifications). Participants will shadow lifeguards in rotation to get a real sense of being on the job. Camp will also include training to aid in swimming lessons and, of course, water games. If you’re looking for a fun, hands-on camp, this is the one! (Level 5+)
Winter Break Camps (ages 5 - 11) Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Sign up for a single day or the whole week!
Join us for fun winter break activities with a variety of themes and activities! Participants will play games, complete arts and crafts projects, participate in fun STEM activities, and more. Please send a water bottle, a snack, and a sack lunch each day.

All-day winter break camp fun! Each day will include games, arts, crafts, and more. Register for just one day, every day, or anything in between. Please remember to send your student daily with a water bottle, lunch, and snack for the morning and afternoon.

Garden Home Recreation Center’s all-day winter break camp fun! Each day will include games, sports, arts and crafts, and more.Please remember to send your child every day with a water bottle, lunch, and a snack.
Full-Day Winter Break Nature Day-Off Camps (ages 7 - 13) 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Sign up for a single day or the whole week! Nature Day-off camps are a great way to make new friends and have fun while discovering nature. Expand your science knowledge, learn about plants and animals, and hike two to five miles daily. Bring lunch, drinking water, two snacks, and a backpack daily. Dress for the weather. Camps are held at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center.

Camp Wild Things: Fur, fluff & Fuzz (ages 4 - 6) Monday – Friday, 12/18-12/22 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Camp Wild Things is a half-day camp for preschool-age children where we build your child's sense of wonder about nature and invite them to explore wildlife and the world around them. This camp is full of games, songs, new friends, crafts, and adventure. Campers need to dress for the weather and bring a snack, a bottle of water, and a small backpack each day. . Camps are held at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center.
Mini Nature Camp: Wildlife Neighbors (ages 6 - 9)
Monday – Friday, 12/18-12/22 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm

Mini Nature Camps are half-day camps for elementary-age children filled with fun and adventure. Create crafts, play games, make new friends, and explore the trails and habitats of the park. Campers need to bring a snack, a bottle of water, and a small backpack each day. Camps are held at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center.
