In order to begin construction that will bring a variety of improvements to Cedar Hills Park, the park will be closed starting Jan. 8, 2018 except for a pedestrian pathway from William Walker Elementary School to Cedar Hills Boulevard.

THPRD is once again working with the Beaverton School District and other community partners to create a brighter holiday season for those in need in the Beaverton area. The district will collect toys, clothing and other items for selected families and homeless children; it will also collect personal hygiene products and linens for the Union Gospel Mission LifeChange Center for Women & Children.

THPRD’s board of directors reached general agreement on a permanent name for a new 21.5-acre park in Aloha that will open to the public later this year. If adopted by the board in May, the park will be named “Mountain View Champions Park.”

THPRD is inviting residents to propose names for the 21.5-acre community park in Aloha, adjacent to Mt. View Middle School, that is scheduled to open in 2017. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 15, 2017.
