Fanno Farmers, Conestoga's 9-Month preschool program, is housed at the district's historic Fanno Farmhouse.
Preschool classes provide a great opportunity for children to learn new academic & social skills and have fun. Conestoga is happy to offer many different types of preschool classes for our community.
The Fanno Farmers is a comprehensive 9-month preschool program inspired by the Reggio Emilia theory of education. Your child will academically learn with the same group of children, in the same classroom with the same teachers, for a traditional September-May school year.
We will focus each month on developmentally appropriate activities and intentional play used to promote children's growth. These areas include: cognitive, creative, language & literacy, math, motor skills and physical development, pro-social skills, and sensory / science. Our 4 & 5 year old programs will work towards achieving Beaverton School District Kindergarten entrance benchmarks by the end of the school year.
The Fanno Farmers Preschool will take place at the Fanno Farmhouse: 8405 SW Creekside Place Beaverton, OR. (adjacent to Greenway Park, south of SW Hall Blvd.)

Playschool: Term-by-Term Program
We also offer Playschool classes for children who are not quite ready for the structured environment of our nine-month programs. Playschool classes typically last six weeks at a time; children can be registered from one to five days a week, year-round.
The focus of these classes is to expose students, many for the first time, to a preschool classroom environment among their peers. Conestoga’s Playschool Program is divided into two designated classrooms catering to two distinct styles of learning: Social and Academic
Playschool Jr. Social Learning Classes
These classes are designed to enhance social skills through positive interactions with fellow students and teachers. This is our most relaxed and lightly structured classroom environment where the emphasis is on social concepts like sharing, first time separation from mom and dad, listening to teachers, following directions, learning to transition from activity to activity and much more. Children will also learn to explore their preschool setting while developing motor skills through art, dance, music, story time and free play. These classes are set up for our youngest students ages 2 - 3 1/2 years old.
Playschool Academic Learning Classes
These classes are designed for older children who are not quite ready for the consistency of a nine-month program, but are ready to academically conquer the kindergarten readiness benchmarks. We will continue to work on developing the skills needed make smooth transitions in a classroom environment, and begin working on lengthening attention spans. Large and fine motor skills will be used through art, music, books, sensory play and more.
Parent Participation: Term-by-Term Program
We also offer Parent Participation classes for our youngest learners who need the comfort of guardian involvement. These are excellent classes for children who need help detaching from parents, getting used to a classroom environment with a trusted adult or for families who just want to spend some quality time together! We offer a large variety to choose from like swimming, art, music, sports, tumbling and dancing. We have childcare on site for unregistered siblings so you and your little one can be together one-on-one.
