*Roger Tilbury Memorial Park
Project Summary & Public Benefits
Passage of the 2008 bond measure provided funds to develop the 13-acre Roger Tilbury Memorial Park. Amenities include a a paved and soft-surface trail network, a creek crossing, an overlook, an open lawn, a nature play area and a playground.
In addition, THPRD's Natural Resources staff began enhancement work in park's natural area. Non-native weeds are being removed and replaced with native plants and shrubs. The project is scheduled for completion next winter. Please see the Roger Tilbury Memorial park -- natural area restoration bond project web page for more information.
Master planning for the park project began in summer 2012.
Once used to grow Christmas trees, this 13-acre site now connects Arborview Drive to 93rd Avenue through a series of paved and gravel trails. Along the ridge is an open lawn area with picnic tables and a bench. The park includes a traditional play area and a nature play area that offers spaces for play, discovery and observation.
