Five things to do before summer arrives
Blue skies and sunny days are just around the corner! THPRD has a five tips to help get you ready to enjoy the warmer weather that’s headed our way.
1. Grab your best pair of athletic shoes! Longer days mean more opportunities to explore our 95 park sites, 70 miles of hard and soft paved trails and 1,500 acres of natural areas.
2. Find your camera (or grab your smartphone). THPRD trails and natural areas are teeming with great photo ops – and we want to see them! Share them with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
3. Get a jump on your summer fitness routine. We offer a variety of group classes for all fitness levels. You can access them all with a Deluxe Pass. Or, if you prefer your own routine, our recreation centers have weight and cardio rooms ready and waiting for you.
4. Make sure your swimming skills are up to snuff. Summer vacation mean trips to pools and beaches – so make sure you know your strokes. THPRD's Learn to Swim program offers group and private lessons.
5. Get into one (or more!) of our great summer camps! We have hundreds of camps available throughout the Beaverton area. Set your alarm! Summer registration begins April 22 at 8 am!
Pro tip: If you're new to the area, don't forget to create an account before you register.
