Preschool Program
Cedar Hills Recreation Center Preschool News!
Cedar Hills is happy to offer many different levels of preschool classes for our community.
We offer a 9-Month Preschool program, in which your child academically learns with the same group of children, in the same classroom and will be taught by the same teachers for a traditional September through May school year. Detailed descriptions of those classes are highlighted in our 9-Month Preschool section below. Our goal for these classrooms is to develop healthy and happy preschoolers academically, and also help them prepare for a successful future kindergarten experience.
We also offer Preschool_Exploration classes for children who are not quite ready for the structured environment of our 9-Month programs. Preschool Exploration classes typically last six weeks and are offered back to back year round. The focus of these classes is to expose students, many for the first time, to a preschool classroom environment.
We also offer Parent Participation classes for our youngest learners who need the comfort of Mom or Dad being involved.
Preschool Exploration
Winter 2012 & Spring 2012 Preschool Exploration class registration begins Saturday, December 10th 2011. Please look online, or stop in at a THPRD center to get an Activities Guide for class days and times. Our Preschool Exploration classes are a great opportunity for parents to drop their children off and run errands, while the children learn new skills and have fun. These classes have three designated styles of learning: ocial, Academic and Parent Participation.
